Best Books for Empaths to Embrace Your Gifts

Empaths are not just people with a lot of empathy. They are highly sensitive individuals who are very attuned to other people’s emotions or physical ailments. Some can have a strong connection to animals or plants too.

One of the most common types of empaths though is the emotional empath. We usually take on, “absorb”, or experience other people’s emotions as our own. This can make us deeply attentive and compassionate individuals. But being too sensitive to other people’s emotions or the energy in the environment can make us feel overwhelmed and more prone to issues such as anxiety and depression.

Some empaths are highly intuitive and have psychic abilities too. We can sense when something is “off” or when someone is lying to us. We might know things without having a lot of information about a topic.

Below are the 10 best empath books. Choose the book that resonates with you the most.

Bonus: My Book for Empaths

Note: The way I look at my books will never be the same as the way I look at other books, so to be fair I rather keep them off the list.

Reconnect to Love by Yong Kang Chan

Empaths feel deeply connected with other people. But sometimes, we build walls to protect ourselves from other people’s energy and emotions. Other people might not understand this and it can make us feel very lonely.

Even though this book has no mention of the word, empath. But as an empath myself, I often fall into the trap of being too empathetic, people-pleasing, and caring too much about helping others too. What I realize is loneliness is not a lack of external connection, it’s a result of internal disconnection.

This book can help you connect deeply with your hearts, something we empaths often neglect as we focus on others too much.
